HemoArt temelji na tehnologiji namnoževanja krvotvornih matičnih celic. Bolnike z levkemijo je treba pogosto zdraviti s presaditvijo krvotvornih matičnih celic, katerih vir za presaditev je običajno kostni mozeg, stimulirana periferna kri ali popkovnična kri. Z namnožitvijo krvotvornih matičnih celic se reši problem majhnega števila celic, s čimer se zagotovi možnost zdravljenja za najbolj ranljive bolnike. Tehnologija je sestavljena iz licenčnega postopka (enega od dveh obstoječih na svetu) in licence za proizvodnjo posebnega rastnega gojišča, ki omogoča takšen postopek gojenja celic. Postopki prenosa tehnologije so v pripravljalni fazi.
